Meriwether Pike Scenic Byway

atlanta dating ideasNothing beats having an adventurous date, and simple one or two day road trips are a fantastic way to create a fun and adventurous date. Spending a day or two traveling any one of the many State of Georgia designated Scenic byways is full of adventure. Every curve and turn brings you and your date excitement wondering what view, small town, festival, or excellent little dining spots you will discover.

The Meriwether Pike Scenic Byway just south of Atlanta makes for a perfect one or two day Atlanta Dating Idea.

While traveling along country roads with views of gorgeous open pastures, old barns, scenic rivers, and old mills, you will roll through a few small towns all with great history and southern charm.

My personal favorites are Warm Springs and Woodbury. These are mostly farming towns, and the locals are good down to earth southern folks always welcoming passer bys with a smile.

You can’t beat some of the small ma and pop dive country food, and BBQ restaurants you pass along the way, and do not forget your cameras; there are great photo opportunities around almost every curve.

Should you decide to make this a two-day road trip, there are a handful of budget friendly hotels in and around each small town offering old southern charm, and clean rooms.
